How Do I Become Saved?
Ever heard any of these phrases
"being saved"
"child of God"
"born again"
Well they all mean the same thing.
Many people are under the impression that everyone is a child of God which is a great misconception. Even Jesus told a group of people (John 8:44) Your father is the devil. Everyone is created of God but that does not make them a child of God, saved, born again. So how can I become saved?
A. Admit you're a sinner - Romans 3:10, 3:23. Quit comparing yourselves to someone else.
B. Believe in your heart who Jesus is and what He has done. Romans 10:9 - Acts 16:30-31 - The word believe means to trust. I've never visually seen Christ but, I believe (trust) He was sinless and died and was resurrected for me.
C. Confess your sins - Romans 10:10 - 10:13. Pray a prayer like this.... Lord Jesus I know that I'm a sinner and I cannot save myself. I'm asking you to forgive me and come into my life and save me. If you said this prayer or something like it you are officially adopted in the family of God, that's right ! Child of God, born again, saved.
Wow!!! That seemed too easy. That is what is known as grace (undeserved favor) It cost Jesus mockery, shame, physical affliction, mental abuse. Why? John 3:16 "God loves you"
